First, Pray and let God Lead
God, through His Word, teaches us to pray for our leaders. Those who are over us making decisions for us every day. Whether we agree with their policies or not, they need prayer. The National Day of Prayer sets precedence on one day out of the year for Christians of all backgrounds to gather and pray. Every first Thursday in May, prayer is heard throughout America, in churches, parks, conference rooms, auditoriums, and in our own homes. We pray for Government (Federal, State and Local), Military, Media, Business, Education, Church and, Families. We lift these important prayer points to our Loving Father.
There are numerous testimonies from the Bible of prayer warriors who were in war confronting the enemy and there was no other way out. They would humble themselves and through prayer, God heard from Heaven and brought deliverance. Their nation was changed and it was all through the power of Prayer. Sometimes God, who was named Warrior would fight the battle for them. God is our Deliverer. God is faithful to those who put their trust in Him.
Daniel 10:12, NIV: “Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and thimble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
Exodus 15:3,7, NIV: “The Lord is a Warrior; the Lord is His Name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has hurled into the sea.” “In the Greatness of Your Majesty, You threw down those who opposed you.”
2 Kings 7 – At dusk, they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, no one was there, for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, ‘Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!’ So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.”
